One stake in the lawn instead of four cords across it
A power stake moves the outlets to where the lights and the inflatables are. The stake is about 12 inches long and goes into soft ground next to the tree or the flower bed. Six grounded outlets sit on the sides of the head under spring-loaded covers that close over any outlet you are not using, and one cord runs back to the house.
The cord is the part to choose with care. The plain stake comes on 14 AWG cord from 15 to 100 ft. Measure the route from the outlet to the spot where the stake will stand, following the path along the fence or the edge of the lawn, and take the next length up. A cord that is too short tempts you to add an extension, and safety groups advise against chaining multi-outlet devices.
Three stakes add a timer to the head. One switches on at dusk with a light sensor and turns off after the hours you set on a dial. One takes its orders from a remote that works up to 100 ft away. One runs on a 24-hour mechanical pin dial. On the remote power strip, the six outlets are split into three pairs you switch separately. the TiFFCOFiO selection sells every stake with its own cord, so there is nothing to wire.

The stake is about 12 inches long. Push it into soft soil or a lawn so the outlets sit well above puddles, and keep the covers closed over empty outlets.
Three do: one set by a 100 ft remote, one with a dusk-to-dawn sensor set on a dial, and one with a 24-hour mechanical pin dial. The plain stake without a timer comes in the longest range of cord lengths.
Better to pick the stake with a cord long enough to reach the outlet. Safety groups advise against chaining multi-outlet devices together, and our stakes come with cords from 6 ft to 100 ft for that reason.
