TiFFCOFiO started in 2019 with a plug-in outdoor timer and grew into the TiFFCOFiO range, made for everything between the wall outlet and the thing you want to switch: the lamp in the hall, the lights on the fence, the pump by the pool.

If you want the lights on at dark all year, pick a dusk-to-dawn timer: it switches on when the sensor sees night and off after 2 to 10 hours, so the schedule moves with the seasons. If you want the same clock times every day, a 24-hour pin timer is simpler. The timer guide walks through both.
The outdoor timers and stakes are built for outdoor use, with covers over the outlets. Hang the timer with the outlets facing down, keep the covers shut, keep the plug end off the wet ground, and plug into a GFCI-protected outlet.
As many as its rating allows: the plain 6-outlet stake is rated 15 A and 1875 W. Add up the watts printed on each string. LED strings draw a few watts each, old incandescent strings far more, and the strings' own labels say how many can be linked end to end.
Measure the route the cord will follow along the ground or the wall, add a couple of feet, and pick the next length up. Longer cords of the same gauge carry less: a 16 AWG cord is good for 13 A up to 50 ft and 10 A at 100 ft, and our 100 ft outdoor cord is rated 10 A for that reason.
The 7-day outdoor digital timer has a replaceable battery that holds its programs while the outlet is dead. With any digital timer, glance at the clock on the display after a long outage, before the next program is due.
